Ask about Breckenridge
Breckenridge is one of Colorado's most popular resorts and the most visited in North America. With a third of the trails ranked intermediate, four mountains, steep treelined gullies that collect feet of snow, and Alpine bowls that cap the mountain range, Breck has something for everyone. Breckenridge is Summit County's oldest and largest ski resort town, with a rich historical heritage that dates back as far as the mid-19th century, and has been well preserved by locals.
Originally founded as a gold-mining village in 1859, Breckenridge was introduced to alpine skiing in the 1960s. Since then, despite the ski resort's rocketing stardom and prolific development, the original Victorian buildings and historical points of interest have been fiercely protected. With the addition of the Imperial Bowl high-speed quad in 2005/06, the resort added almost 700 feet of skiing to its vertical height.
