Falls Creek is Victoria's largest alpine resort and a major tourist destination in North East Victoria. The alpine resort is one of the most popular winter playgrounds in the country and offers a superb range of activities, attractions and events in every season throughout the year. The official snow season for 2009 begins on the Victorian Queen's Birthday long weekend (6 June 2009) running until the first weekend in October. The Falls Creek Ski Lifts company operates the lifts, snow making, grooming, etc for the resort while Falls Creek Resort Management coordinate cross country ski terrain and grooming.
