Fernie Alpine Resort is fast finding a following of adventurous skiers and riders. The ridges, bowls and trees get dumped on with light snow that will keep any powderhound happy. Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies, Fernie is a growing, yet uncrowded and unspoilt ski resort with lots of quality snow, with an annual avg. snowfall of over 9 meters!
Perhaps you've heard the fervent whispers about Fernie already: You'll find some of the steepest terrain you'll ever see in-bounds, and what's out-of-bounds is free for the taking too (just make sure that you are prepared & knowledgable about back-country travel). The slope-side village is undergoing continual development to reach its full potential and has on-site resort rentals, a superb ski school, a grocery store and liquor outlet, and childcare for 19 months to six-year-olds.
